During our second year of offering the Parent Pantry, we are so grateful for all of the ways that we have been able to come together with the community to support local families in getting some of the items they need to care for their young children.
In the first 9 months of 2022 the South Whidbey Parent Pantry distributed across 232 families …
1345 articles of clothing
203 packs of diapers
193 toys
266 books
79 blankets/quilts
51 breast pumps or bottles
87 large items (such as pack n plays, strollers, swings etc)
76 units of formula or baby food
And we are just getting started!
Stop by our expanded north Parent Pantry in Oak Harbor open every fourth Saturday of the Month from 11am – 1pm.
The Parent Pantry is fully donation based, stocked with free clothing, baby items, diapers, formula, toys, shoes, books, and more. We value and try our best to have a few free thank you goodies for parents and caregivers too!
The Pantry’s success is due to the dedication of the all-volunteer organizing team and dedicated shopkeeping volunteers. We are growing and we are looking to build a dedicated team of volunteer shopkeepers and organizers. if you are interested feel free to contact us by emailing esther@whidbeymothermentors.org
